About Tabcorp

Tabcorp is Australia’s leading gambling entertainment company, home to iconic brands such as TAB, SKY, and MAX. We’re on a mission to create the most engaging betting and entertainment experiences—responsibly, sustainably, and with integrity at the core.

About the Role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join our high-performing Legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer with a strong foundation in corporate and commercial law to take the next step in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and gain exposure to a broad range of transactional and operational legal matters.

Reporting to the General Counsel – Wagering & Corporate, you’ll primarily support the legal needs of our wagering business, along with key corporate functions. You’ll work closely with senior lawyers and business stakeholders to deliver practical and business-aligned legal advice. Specifically, you will:

  • Advise on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, including governance and regulatory considerations.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review a variety of corporate and commercial agreements, including arrangements with industry partners and sponsorship agreements.
  • Support strategic and operational initiatives across the business, including M&A and Treasury matters.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver responsive, solutions-focused legal support.
  • Contribute to process improvement, knowledge sharing, and legal awareness across the organisation.

About You

You’re a proactive and collaborative legal professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys tackling varied legal challenges with curiosity and confidence. You bring a balance of legal precision and commercial pragmatism, and you’re energised by solving problems that matter to the business. You take ownership, ask the right questions, and deliver practical advice that helps unlock business opportunities while managing risk.

You bring:

  • A law degree and current Australian practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • At least 3 years’ post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law, gained in-house or in private practice
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Clear and confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in regulated industries or corporate and M&A transactions (desirable but not essential)

Why Tabcorp?
