About Tabcorp

Tabcorp is Australia’s leading gambling entertainment company, home to iconic brands such as TAB, SKY, and MAX. We’re on a mission to create the most engaging betting and entertainment experiences. At the same time, we’re building a safer, more compliant future for our customers and communities.

About the Role

We’re now looking for a Senior Business Analyst with strong data and analysis skills to bridge the gap between technology and business in our Financial Crime Team.  In joining the team, you’ll play a critical role in helping us meet our AML/CTF obligations and deliver smarter, data-driven solutions. You’ll be working on complex data migration, compliance projects and implementing new technology through translating requirements between stakeholders and developers and ensuring our platforms and processes are fit-for-purpose.

Specifically, you will:

  • Lead technical business analysis for finance crime projects, from workshops through to Jira stories.
  • Map data requirements into functional specifications and support major data migration activities.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear business language (and vice versa).
  • Partner with stakeholders across Risk, Technology, and Finance to deliver solutions.
  • Support compliance uplift, particularly around AML/CTF requirements and AUSTRAC reporting.
  • Produce clear documentation, facilitate workshops, and proactively engage with stakeholders.

This is a 12-month maternity leave replacement role.

About You

You’re a technically minded business analyst with strong data skills, a clear communicator who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery. You thrive in complex, regulated environments, are confident working independently, and bring a mix of analytical rigour and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver meaningful outcomes.

  • Strong data analysis skills, with SQL proficiency and exposure to Databricks.
  • Experience with data warehousing and business analysis methodologies.
  • Understanding of AML/CTF regulatory requirements and financial crime frameworks.
  • Background in finance, banking, or gambling industries (preferred).
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage complex projects end-to-end.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills – able to engage stakeholders and simplify technical concepts.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on meaningful projects that safeguard our business and customers.
  • Collaborate with experts across technology, risk, and compliance.
  • Step into a key 12-month role where you’ll have autonomy, visibility, and impact.
  • Be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of financial crime prevention in one of Australia’s most regulated industries.
