What you'll do
As a Controls Assurance Senior Advisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering our annual Controls Assurance Plan. You’ll lead control reviews, mentor and guide junior team members, and support ongoing efforts to strengthen risk management across a complex, fast-paced, and tightly regulated wagering environment.
Plan and execute control reviews aligned to the financial year assurance plan, including walkthroughs, testing, and reporting.
Identify and assess control issues, using sound judgement and a risk-focused mindset to calibrate and communicate findings.
Write high-quality reports and present outcomes to stakeholders across the business and senior leadership.
Mentor and support Analysts and Advisors, reviewing their work and helping to build capability within the team.
Contribute to broader risk initiatives including control attestations, board reporting, and process improvements
What you'll bring
You’re a confident and capable risk professional who can work independently, make informed decisions, and engage effectively with stakeholders—even when the conversation gets challenging. Your background in audit, financial services, or consulting has given you the risk maturity and technical skillset needed to succeed in a structured and fast-evolving environment.
3+ years of experience in controls, audit, or risk—ideally within financial services, Big 4, or a similarly regulated industry.
Strong understanding of internal controls frameworks and risk assurance methodologies.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to present contentious findings and defend your position.
A sharp eye for detail, with the discipline to follow structured review processes from end to end.
A proactive, autonomous working style—comfortable taking ownership and driving work through to completion.
