Ready to lead a team at the frontline of customer risk and financial crime prevention? As regulatory expectations evolve and customer behaviour becomes more complex, this role plays a critical part in helping Tabcorp identify, assess and manage financial crime risks across our retail customer portfolio. You'll join a growing and highly visible function where your leadership will strengthen team capability, enhance customer risk outcomes, and help protect the integrity of our business.

Your role in action

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Monitoring and Assessment, you'll lead a team of analysts responsible for transaction monitoring, customer due diligence and customer risk assessments. This role combines people leadership, operational oversight and financial crime expertise to ensure risks are identified, investigated and managed effectively while supporting business and regulatory obligations. Specifically, you will:

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing analyst team
  • Guide investigations into unusual customer behaviour and risks
  • Oversee customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence activities
  • Manage workflows to achieve quality, service and compliance standards
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Fraud and Technology stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement across monitoring and assessment processes

What you'll need to succeed

You'll be a collaborative people leader who enjoys developing capability, improving operations and navigating complex customer risk matters. You're comfortable balancing regulatory obligations with customer outcomes and can build strong relationships across a broad stakeholder group. You’ll also possess:

  • Experience in financial crime, compliance, fraud or customer risk
  • Proven ability to lead and develop operational teams
  • Strong understanding of anti-money laundering obligations and controls
  • Ability to assess complex information and make sound decisions
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capability
  • Experience within regulated environments will be highly regarded
