About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Manager - Procurement Governance & Optimization to drive governance, performance, and capability uplift across a complex, enterprise environment. This is your opportunity to play a key role in that transformation, shaping how procurement delivers value across the enterprise.

Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, this role sits at the centre of how procurement evolves at Tabcorp — strengthening frameworks, improving visibility, and embedding consistent ways of working across the business. You’ll partner with senior leaders to align procurement activity to enterprise priorities, ensuring decisions are informed, outcomes are clear, and procurement is positioned as a trusted support function. Specifically, you will:

• Lead the uplift of procurement governance & compliance by using procurement policies, frameworks, and controls to drive consistency, compliance, manage risks and uphold ethical standards
• Simplify and optimise procurement end-to-end processes, with a focus on operational efficiency
• Oversee audits and compliance activities to ensure procurement risks are adequately managed
• Lead the enhancement and optimisation of procurement systems and tools, including enhancing Oracle Fusion capabilities
• Establish meaningful procurement performance metrics and reporting to drive both efficiency and effectiveness
• Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Embed a culture of continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, leveraging data insights, and implementing sustainable process improvements
• Partner with business stakeholders to build strong cross functional cross-functional relationships; and
• Lead a small team of procurement professionals to deliver great support to the business

You’re a commercially minded procurement leader who is comfortable operating at pace within a complex, enterprise environment. You bring the credibility and judgement to influence senior stakeholders, paired with the ability to translate ambiguity into clear, structured outcomes. Importantly, you’re motivated by building capability and improving how things work. You’ll also possess:

• Proven experience operating in complex, enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong judgement and the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity
• A track record of uplifting governance, processes, or capability within procurement or adjacent functions
• Confidence influencing senior leaders and building trusted relationships across the business
• Strong analytical capability, using data and insights to inform decisions and drive improvement
• A collaborative, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to bring people on the journey
