About the Role

As an Assistant Management Accountant based in Melbourne, you’ll support the performance of our Gaming, Technology and Corporate functions. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to core financial processes, commercial analysis, and learn how finance partners work with the business to drive better decisions. This role is ideal for someone looking to step into a more commercial environment, build capability, and develop into a future Commercial Finance leader.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Support month-end, half-year and year-end processes, including preparation of management reporting
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting and planning activities across key business areas
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
  • Help maintain P&L accuracy and support governance and audit requirements
  • Work with stakeholders across gaming, corporate and technology teams to support day-to-day finance needs
  • Contribute to process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You’re building your career in finance and ready to take the next step into a more commercial role. You bring a strong foundation, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in understanding how finance supports business performance. You’re comfortable working with data, enjoy collaborating with others, and are motivated to learn and grow. You’ll also bring:

  • CA/CPA qualified, currently working towards completion or willing to commence CA/ CPA qualification
  • Around 1–3 years’ experience in finance, accounting or analytical roles
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
  • Clear communication skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
  • ERP exposure (Oracle Fusion, Smart View) helpful but not essential
