About the Role

We are recruiting a Management Accountant – Technology to join our Finance team supporting a large and complex technology cost base across Opex and Capex. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Technology, this role provides financial support and insight to the Technology function, with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial discipline. It’s a great opportunity for an accountant looking to deepen their experience in a technology-focused environment and continue developing their commercial skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with monthly forecasting cycles, including identifying risks and variances
  • Preparing financial reports, analysis, and commentary for technology stakeholders
  • Supporting business cases and investment submissions with financial analysis
  • Assisting with month-end close activities, including accruals, journals, and reconciliations
  • Sorting project accounting and capitalisation activities
  • Contributing to half-year and full-year statutory reporting processes
  • Helping to maintain and improve financial models, reports, and processes

About You

You’re a motivated and commercially curious accountant who enjoys working with data, understanding cost drivers, and supporting informed decision-making. You’re comfortable working with non-finance stakeholders and are keen to continue building your experience in a complex, technology-focused environment.

You’ll bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification (or close to completion)
  • Experience in a Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, or Commercial Finance role
  • Exposure to large or complex cost bases (technology or project environments advantageous)
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to present financial information clearly
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems (Oracle, ServiceNow or similar preferred)
  • Good attention to detail, with developing confidence to question and understand variances
  • Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn

What’s In It For You

You’ll join a supportive and experienced finance team working closely with our Technology function. This role offers exposure to large-scale technology spend, professional development, and the opportunity to grow your skills within a well-regarded organisation.

We also offer:

  • Time for the moments that matter — cultural leave, flexible public holidays, and 5 days bonus leave
  • 18 weeks paid parental leave for every new parent
  • Ticketing to some of Australia’s biggest racing and sporting events
  • Access to wellbeing programs and corporate discounts
  • A diverse and inclusive culture where everyone belongs
