How you'll be part of the action

In this role, you will report to a Senior Security Operations Analyst and play a key part in strengthening our defence capabilities across Melbourne or Sydney. You will lead complex investigations, elevate our detection maturity, and support critical response activity across the business.

  • Lead complex incident investigations and final technical escalations.
  • Drive enhancement of detection and response use cases across key tools.
  • Create high‑value dashboards, analytics, and detection content.
  • Optimise triage playbooks and threat hunting approaches.
  • Support audit, regulatory, and evidence collection activities.
  • Provide on‑call technical support for major incidents.

What you'll need to succeed

You bring strong analytical instincts, a collaborative spirit, and proven capability working in fast‑paced security environments. You are confident investigating complex issues, communicating clearly, and lifting the maturity of the tools and processes around you.

  • Experienced in Splunk with advanced query writing and content development.
  • Proven ability to administer CrowdStrike Falcon and troubleshoot sensors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience in threat hunting using enterprise detection data.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft security tools including Purview.
  • Exposure to incident response automation using scripting or SOAR tooling.
