The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Senior Legal Counsel – Corporate, Commercial & Disputes to join our Legal team in a key advisory role supporting complex corporate, commercial and contentious matters across the business. This is a broad, high-impact role where you’ll operate as a trusted legal partner to senior stakeholders, helping navigate commercial risk in a highly regulated environment.

Reporting to the General Counsel – Wagering & Corporate, you’ll provide pragmatic, commercially grounded advice across transactions and disputes, manage matters end-to-end with external counsel, and support the business to make well-informed decisions in fast-moving and often high-stakes contexts.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of complex commercial and corporate agreements
• Provide legal advice across corporate, commercial and regulatory matters
• Own the management of disputes and contentious matters, including strategy, instructions and oversight of external counsel
• Assess and manage legal risk, balancing regulatory obligations with commercial objectives
• Support the business on contractual issues, complaints and disputes
• Partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality legal outcomes
• Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes, templates and ways of working

About You

You’re a commercially minded senior lawyer who’s comfortable operating with autonomy in a regulated, fast-paced environment. You bring strong judgement, a pragmatic approach to risk, and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders on complex and sometimes ambiguous issues.

You bring:

• Strong post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law (in-house and/or top-tier or mid-tier private practice)
• Solid experience managing disputes and contentious matters end-to-end
• Proven ability to lead matters independently and manage external counsel
• Strong commercial acumen and practical risk judgement
• Clear, confident communication and strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working in, or advising, regulated industries (highly regarded)
