What you’ll do:

Based out of our Frenchs Forest Sky Racing Studios, the role Studio Operator (Audio) is an entry level broadcast position. It will primarily include setting up microphones, IFBs and mix minuses. Using digital audio consoles to mix live to air race-day coverage and panel shows.

You’ll work under instruction of the Director and Producers. Aswell as coordinating with other team members such as TDs, MCR and Floor Crew to ensure quality control and a consistent audio output for all on-air content

We operate 24/7, so you must be flexible and available to work across a seven-day work week. It will include night shifts, weekends and public holidays on a regular basis.

What you’ll bring:

• To be driven and adaptable, with the ability to work amongst a team while multi-tasking.
• To be flexible and versatile, learn new skills and adapt to an evolving television environment. To follow instructions is essential, as is taking initiative when required.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure and handle stressful situations with poise. Ability to work to strict on-air deadlines.
• Good understanding of signal flow

Beneficial experience:

• Tertiary qualification in television broadcast or audio/sound would be highly regarded.
• Experience with digital audio desks
• Technical proficiency and interest in broadcast workflows
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Live broadcast experience
