Tabcorp is looking for a Governance & Policy Manager to lead the development and maintenance of Tabcorp’s enterprise-wide risk frameworks and policies. In this role you’ll ensure policies are clear, practical, Board-aligned, and applied consistently across the business.
As Governance and Policy Manager you’ll set enterprise-wide risk frameworks and policies and make certain that training is developed in relation to current, new, and changed policies. You’ll also support the preparation of risk reporting to Executive and Board Risk Committees, influencing decisions at the highest level.
Your role in action
As our Governance & Policy Manager, you’ll lead the design and maintenance of frameworks and policies that define how risk is managed across Tabcorp. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders, influence enterprise-wide initiatives, and embed a strong risk culture. You’ll support risk reporting to executives and the Board, manage our Risk system (TRACS), lead training to embed risk awareness, and work closely with Line 1 Risk Partners to ensure effective implementation and monitoring.

Preparing risk reporting for Executive and Board Risk Committees, including metrics and trend commentary.
Setting and maintaining enterprise-wide risk frameworks and policies aligned with Board expectations.
Managing the full policy lifecycle, ensuring clarity, practicality, and effective communication of changes.
Providing expert advice on best practice risk management and pragmatic solutions.
Collaborating with stakeholders to building relationships to influence the adoption of frameworks and policies.
Establishing monitoring processes for adherence to risk frameworks and policies.
Ensuring ERM system supports the risk framework and delivering system enhancements.
Developing and maintaining risk training programs to embed awareness and accountability.
What you'll need to succeed
You’re a confident governance professional who thrives on collaboration and problem-solving. You bring deep knowledge of risk and governance principles and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
Degree qualified in a relevant field (Legal, Accounting, Business, or Finance)
Significant experience in risk, compliance, transformation, or business partnering within large organisations.
Strong understanding of leading risk and compliance practices with a pragmatic, commercial lens.
Excellent organisational skills and a structured approach to managing priorities.
Curious mindset to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
Proven ability to influence and persuade stakeholders with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Capability to manage junior team members and foster collaboration.
