Ever wonder what keeps a complex, fast-moving organisation complaint behind the scenes? This role sits at the heart of a major payroll and workforce transformation, helping ensure people are paid accurately, fairly, and in line with the rules that matter. As Tabcorp implements a new payroll compliance tool and workforce management system, you’ll be part of the project team driving confidence, clarity, and trust through rigorous testing and validation.

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Payroll, this role plays a critical part in delivering accurate, compliant payroll outcomes during a major system implementation. You’ll work closely with payroll, people and culture, and project teams to test, validate, and remediate payroll outputs, ensuring awards and enterprise agreements are interpreted correctly and issues are resolved quickly.

• Lead detailed payroll compliance reviews against awards, enterprise agreements, and legislation 

• Drive testing and validation of payroll compliance dashboards and system outputs 

• Identify, validate, and escalate payroll variances with clarity and confidence 

• Prepare clear reports outlining risks, trends, and recommended corrective actions 

• Support workforce management system testing through parallel and data validation activities 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

You’re someone who thrives on detail, enjoys solving complex problems, and takes pride in getting things right. You bring strong payroll knowledge, a sharp analytical mindset, and the confidence to work collaboratively across teams during periods of change.

In addition, you will demonstrate the following:

• Experienced in payroll compliance and payroll data validation 

• Proven ability to interpret awards and enterprise agreements accurately 

• Strong understanding of Australian employment and workplace legislation 

• Ability to analyse payroll data and identify risks or discrepancies 

• Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-first approach
