How you'll be part of the action

Reporting to the Head of Safer Gambling and Regulatory Strategy, you will lead policy development, provide subject matter advice, and translate emerging regulation into clear frameworks that uplift operations and protect customers.

  • Lead safer gambling policy design and governance across the business, aligned to regulation.
  • Drive a cross‑stream uplift program; coordinate projects that strengthen systems and processes.
  • Translate emerging laws and guidance into actionable policy updates and practical changes.
  • Partner with operations to improve alerts, interventions, tools and centralised resources.
  • Develop persuasive submissions and insights for regulators, policy bodies and stakeholders.
  • Enable governance forums; enhance reporting, training and engagement enterprise‑wide.

What you'll need to succeed

You pair significant policy depth with a forward‑looking mindset. You connect strategy with delivery, using evidence, collaboration and clear communication to create meaningful change. You are the go‑to advisor who sees around corners and brings people with you.

  • Significant experience in safer gambling policy and/or regulatory strategy within complex environments.
  • Recognised subject matter expert providing confident, practical safer gambling advice.
  • Proven capability to interpret legislation and guidance into clear, workable policies.
  • Strong knowledge of harm minimisation principles and contemporary practice.
  • Ability to analyse data and trends to inform strategy and decisions.
  • Forward‑looking awareness of Australian and international reforms, trends and best practice.
  • A great attitude along with the ability to drive outcomes or to jump in to help get things done.
