About Tabcorp

Tabcorp is Australia’s leading gambling entertainment company, home to iconic brands such as TAB, SKY, and MAX. We’re on a mission to create the most engaging betting and entertainment experiences—responsibly, sustainably, and with integrity at the core.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join our high-performing Legal team, focusing on supporting the TAB Retail business, the MAX Gaming and Integrity services business and our organisation-wide support functions such as procurement and technology. This is a great opportunity for a lawyer who’s eager to gain broad commercial exposure while also having the opportunity to advise on more specialist issues such as privacy and intellectual property. You’ll work on a full spectrum of advisory and transactional matters. This variety means no two days will be the same, and you’ll be involved in a mix of day-to-day legal support and strategic projects.

More specifically, you will:

  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on regulatory, compliance, governance, and operational matters.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Legal team.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality legal support across the business.
  • Contribute to process improvement, knowledge sharing, and legal awareness within the organisation.

About You

You’re a collaborative and adaptable legal professional who’s keen to learn and ready to take on a wide range of matters. You’re comfortable working with different stakeholders, enjoy variety in your work, and can balance attention to detail with a pragmatic and commercial approach.

You bring:

  • Post-admission experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, gained in-house and/or in private practice.
  • A willingness to work across a broad range of legal issues, transactions, projects and business areas.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • An adaptable, proactive mindset and eagerness to keep developing your legal skills.

Why Tabcorp?

At Tabcorp, you’ll gain exposure to a wide range of legal matters in both retail, gaming, integrity and corporate support settings, with the opportunity to report to the General Counsel & Privacy Officer and to learn from experienced senior lawyers. With a bold strategy and exciting transformation underway, now is a great time to join the business and grow your career.
