This is a chance to shape the way people experience our story — inside and out. As our Corporate Communications Manager, you’ll be part of key conversations, provide advice to leaders, connected to media, and backed by a capable team. You’ll bring clarity when it matters, energy when it’s needed, and confidence when advice is needed.  

This is a twelve‑month fixed‑term opportunity based in Melbourne, working with an experienced team and working closely with our General Manager of Corporate Affairs, who will partner with you on external communications. 

How you'll be part of the action 

Reporting to the GM of Corporate Affairs, you’ll be a key part of company‑wide communications across corporate and employee channels, while playing a key role supporting external communications. As part of the role you will:  

  • Lead an experienced internal communications team with clarity and purpose 

  • Drive clear, engaging employee communications across the organisation 

  • Shape and deliver corporate communication strategies aligned to business priorities 

  • Partner with senior leaders on messaging, moments and change 

  • Support external communications including media engagement and results materials 

  • Build trusted relationships with journalists and external stakeholders 

Your winning edge 

You’re a confident communications leader who enjoys balancing strategy with action. You’re comfortable advising executives, shaping narratives, and working at pace. You bring strong judgement, curiosity, and a practical approach to getting things done. 

  • Significant experience in both employee and corporate communications 

  • Proven ability to lead and develop experienced communications professionals 

  • Strong media relationships and confidence engaging with journalists 

  • Experience supporting external communications, including results cycles 

  • Ability to guide senior leaders through complex or high‑profile moments 

  • Creating communications opportunities to keep our teams informed 

  • Background in listed, regulated, sporting, racing or wagering environments valued
